This is the door to the yard. Closet sliders and indoor glass walls are a different product and a different trade.
Before anyone orders a panel, walk the opening with the contractor and ask four things.
Is the sill still solid?
A new panel in a soft sill will not stay weather-tight. Ask them to say, in writing, whether the sill pan stays or gets rebuilt. If they have not looked at it, they do not have a scope yet.
What is actually failing?
A panel that drags may need rollers. Fog you cannot wipe off is a failed seal between the panes. A lock that misses is hardware. Those are not the same job as a new door. Ask for the diagnosis before you hear a replacement price.
Who is on the quote?
Pane Pro SD refers an independent contractor. That contractor measures, writes the quote, and does the work if you hire them. Verify the license at cslb.ca.gov and ask for an insurance certificate. We do not publish a coverage list and we do not set the price.
Does this address need a permit?
City of San Diego Information Bulletin 203 describes conditional exemptions and a no-plan permit path for properties in that city. Other cities in the county write their own rules. Agree, on the quote, who talks to the building department.
